seclued lake
The Lake is a pleasant 10-15 minute walk along a wooded lane from the back of the lodge. Here you will find abundant ferns, wildflowers, dogwood trees, oaks, hickory and maple trees.
High up the hill on the left side of the lake are large moss covered boulders. It's fun to scramble among the boulders and sit atop them gaining inspiration and setting quietly in reflection at the wonders that abound in nature. Pure peaceful quiet and aromas of the fresh woodland leaves and flowers can be and enchanting experience. You can see a fantastic varety of neoropical birds in bright yellow, orange red and blue in the spring and Summer.
