OUR location
Newcomerstown is located in East Central Ohio, in the heart of Amish Country. Here you see various sects of the Amish community in the stores , along the town streets and on the back roads.
Historically, Newcomerstown got its name when a settlers husband was murdered during the Indian raids, as she fled, Chief Eagle Feather took her to be his second wife. She was a “new comer” to the area. Today Bald Eagles can be seen flying along the Tuscarawas River at the bridge on River Street past the High School ball field, just one mile from the Lodge. You will cross this bridge on your way to Secluded Lake Lodge.
